It is the depth a busy fly tower needs between whole-of-venue Health Checks, carried out in-house by TSA's Competent Inspection Officers.
Each component gets a compliance result against published discard criteria, and every defect is graded on priority with a recommended action and timeframe - from routine through to remove-from-service. The result is a graded record of the whole flying system, line by line. For the whole-of-venue version, it sits inside the Venue Systems Health Check.
The rope lock is the focal check. It is the part that holds a set where you leave it, the one an operator touches most, and the one that fails quietly. Every inspection point is graded against discard criteria, with a recommended action and timeframe.
