What a height-safety inspection is

Every item,
checked and dated.

A PHS height-safety inspection is the inspection and certification of your personal fall-arrest gear - harnesses, lanyards, energy absorbers and connectors - against AS/NZS 1891 and the grouped fall-arrest standards, carried out in-house by TSA's Competent Inspection Officers. Height-safety gear is inspected twice a year: each item is checked against published discard criteria, recorded with its serial and date of manufacture, given a persistent Asset ID, and certified to its next scheduled inspection.

So the gear your crew clips into is proven safe on paper - and you can show when each item was checked and when it is due again. The fall-arrest group sits within the 50+ Australian, New Zealand and international standards behind every TSA inspection. Run it as a focused height-safety check, or as part of a wider Compliance & Service inspection.

Date of manufacture. The label that drives the call: every harness, lanyard and absorber has a working life from manufacture, so we record it and flag end-of-life before it is reached - never guessed.
