Hoist Service - service and load test of electric chain hoists of any brand for venues, equipment owners and touring productions, delivered on site, in our workshop or in storage, with Test and Tag available as an add-on and an individual certificate per hoist
Any brand of hoist. Serviced, certified. Load proven.
Service and load test of electric chain hoists for venues, equipment owners and touring productions - on site where the gear lives, in our workshop or in storage, on your schedule. Each hoist is serviced, function- and brake-tested, load-tested to a recorded figure and issued an individual certificate, typically valid for 12 months, with Test & Tag available as an add-on.
Your hoists.
Serviced, tested, certified.
Hoist Service is scoped to the powered lifting kit you own and tour - electric chain hoists and the brakes, limits and control that keep them safe. Here is what we cover, and how each part is proven.
Electric chain hoists
Serviced and thoroughly inspected - chain, gearbox, motor and clutch checked against the maker's limits.
See what you getBrakes & limits
Functional and brake testing, upper and lower limit checks and E-stop response - the things that have to hold.
See what you getLoad test & certify
A calculated test load applied, held and recorded - minimum required, maximum applied and held at, on the certificate.
See what you getTest & Tag Optional add-on
An optional add-on: in-service electrical testing to AS/NZS 3760, with a dated compliance tag fitted to each hoist tested.
See what you getLoad-tested without the test mass
We load test with purpose-built inline test equipment engineered in-house: the calculated load is applied and measured through the rig itself, so in most cases no test mass is required. Less handling, faster turnaround on site or in storage - and the same minimum-required, maximum-applied and held-at figures recorded on the certificate.
Bought your hoists from us or somewhere else, we service and certify them either way. New to the range? See the EXE Rise chain hoists we supply, stock and support - or for the gear you already own.
The load,
proven and recorded.
Hoist Service is the service and load test of electric chain hoists - any brand, for venues, equipment owners and touring productions - with electrical Test & Tag available as an add-on. It is delivered on site more often than not - we come to the gear, wherever it lives or is stored - or in our workshop, carried out in-house by TSA's Competent Inspection Officers. Each hoist is serviced and thoroughly inspected, function- and brake-tested, then load-tested: a calculated load is applied and held through our purpose-built inline test equipment - no test mass needed in most cases - and the figures recorded on the certificate.
You get an individual certificate per hoist, typically valid for 12 months, showing the rated capacity, the load-test figures and the standards each hoist was assessed against. AS 1418 and AS 2550 are the main references, applied alongside the other recognised standards that fit the motor in front of us - different hoists can be assessed against different standards - plus AS/NZS 3760 when Test & Tag is added. It is the proof your venue, your insurer and your production manager want to see before the gear flies. Tour with confidence, not a verbal "she's fine". This is for gear you own and move; a venue's installed hoists are typically recertified in place under annual inspections. Need the gear as well as the service? See the chain hoists we supply and stock.
The load test. A calculated load is applied and held through our purpose-built inline test equipment - in most cases with no test mass required - and the minimum required, the maximum applied and the held-at figure are all recorded against the hoist's rated capacity. The certificate that comes back is typically valid for 12 months.
Four jobs, one certificate.
Serviced, tested,
and on a certificate.
Hoist Service is not a quick look-over. Each hoist is serviced, thoroughly inspected and tested in a set sequence, and walks away with an individual certificate you can hand to a venue, a producer or an insurer.
One service pass, one certificate per hoist.
Have us come to the gear - most often we do - or send it to us: each hoist is serviced, function- and brake-tested and load-tested, with Test & Tag added where you need it, then certified for 12 months. Tour on the proof, not a hunch.
A one-off service proves the gear for the next run; an ongoing programme keeps it proven, with the service, load test and any Test & Tag add-on repeating on a 12-month cycle so the certificates never lapse mid-tour. Either way, every hoist is load-tested to a recorded figure and certified for 12 months. Run a fixed venue instead? Start with a Venue Systems Health Check.
