Engineered for the

An EXE chain hoist is a fixed-speed electric chain hoist built for entertainment rigging, not the warehouse. The EXE Rise range runs from 350 to 2500 kg WLL and is classified D8 Plus: an 8:1 minimum safety factor with double brakes as standard, the rating you need to statically suspend a load above people - the load moves with the area clear, then holds overhead. The EXE Ace 500 kg is the D8 alternative for installs and positioning, where the load is not flown over an audience, performers or crew.
Standard industrial chain hoists are rated to D8 - a 4:1 safety factor that is fine for general lifting. D8 Plus doubles that to 8:1 as a minimum, with the overload clutch sitting outside the load path so a clutch fault never reaches the brakes. The body is cast in Italy and the load chain is Grade 80, made in Germany by RUD. The enclosure is IP66 rated, the range runs at 4 m/min, and full-load noise sits at 67.5 dB(A). It is one part of the full Lifting & Rigging range.

Every Rise model shares the same engineering: 8:1 safety factor, double brake, IP66, 4 m/min, Grade 80 RUD chain and low-voltage control. The Ace runs a single brake at 5:1 - not rated over people. Single-phase (230 V) Rise is available at 500 kg.
Entertainment-grade safety, compact.
The compact end of the range at 21.5 kg, D8 Plus rated with a double brake and an 8:1 safety factor. The fit for small venues, community theatres, drama studios, touring rig points and workshop lifting, where the load is light but the rating still has to be right.
The workhorse for venues and touring.
The model most rigs reach for: 500 kg WLL at 24 kg, D8 Plus with a double brake and IP66. Sized for mid-size venues, house rigging and touring productions with standard truss loads. Also available single-phase (230 V) with an inverter soft-start where a site has no 3-phase power.
Heavy lifting, same safety standard.
A tonne on the hook at 43 kg, with the same D8 Plus double-brake engineering as the compact models. Built for major venues, automation systems, heavier scenic elements and arena touring, where the load steps up but nothing about the safety case does.
Serious lift for automation and scenic.
Two tonnes on a single hoist, with a higher 50% duty cycle for the work that runs all day. The pick for heavy automation, large scenic moves and multi-hoist synchronised lifts on major productions. A double-reeve configuration is available where headroom is tight.
Top of the range, same safety standard.
The heaviest hoist in the range, 2500 kg WLL on a 13 x 36 mm Grade 80 chain, and still D8 Plus at 8:1 with a double brake. Built for the biggest rigs: line arrays, LED walls, scoreboards and large festival builds. Specifications provisional pending final confirmation.
The budget install hoist.
A cost-effective D8 hoist for budget installs and event lifts: single brake, 5:1 safety factor, lower duty cycle. Use it to position loads into place over weeks or months, not to fly loads over people. Where anything hangs above an audience, performers or crew, specify the EXE Rise instead.
