Systems integration is the venue engineering work that makes a building's stage systems operate as one - hoists, lighting bars, curtain track and acoustic banners specified together, wired into a single control layer, and commissioned with every interface owned by one party. It is for venue managers, consultants and head contractors who want a staging environment that behaves like one system on day one and stays serviceable for years.

Buy those systems separately and the venue owns every gap between them - gaps that surface during install, or in operation. TSA closes them on paper first. Scenic, rigging, automation, drapes and electronics capability sit in one organisation, so every load path and interface is coordinated before anything is fabricated. Integration specifies the environment; installation delivers it - both carried by one team.

Hoists & grouped hoist-truss systems

Chain hoists carrying box truss, each hoist operating independently but electronically linked to move as one unit, with a load cell per hoist keeping weight balanced across the group.

Pile-hoist lighting bars

Ceiling-mounted pile hoists raising internally-cabled lighting bars and general-purpose battens on multiple steel wire ropes, with their own power, data and cable management.

Curtain track & acoustic systems

Curtain track integrated with the grid and rigging above it, and acoustic curtain panels and roller banners on a control system with positioning and preset recording.

The control layer

One architecture across every axis: multi-axis control, a pendant-mounted global E-stop, multiple user levels and live load monitoring - TSA's own integrated system, with Atlas controllers where hoist control calls for them.

Power, data & outlet boxes

SEB, AVB and SLB stage-engineering outlet boxes feeding power and control to hoists and equipment at the point of use - designed into the venue, not cabled around it afterwards.

Hoist control at product level lives with the Atlas controller family; per-show automation is Production Engineering. This page is the building: permanent systems, engineered to operate as one.

Systems integration is engineering a venue's stage systems - hoists, lighting bars, curtain track, acoustic banners and their power and control - to operate as one environment rather than a set of separate installations. TSA designs the subsystems together, brings them under a single control layer and commissions the result as one documented system. Because scenic, rigging, automation, drapes and electronics capability sit in one organisation, the interfaces between them are owned by one party.
Yes - new systems are regularly engineered into venues with equipment already in service. Existing kit is assessed first, and where it is rated, compliant and compatible it is coordinated into the wider environment or brought under the one control layer. Where it is not, we tell you plainly and set out the upgrade path, which is where our safety upgrades work begins.
The control layer is TSA's own integrated system, engineered and commissioned in-house as part of the venue. It provides multi-axis control across everything that moves, a global E-stop carried on the operator pendant, user levels matched to operators, technicians and administrators, and live load monitoring during operation. Where chain-hoist control is part of the environment, TSA's Atlas controller family is specified and supported nationally.
A stage-engineering outlet box - an SEB, AVB or SLB - is a wall- or ceiling-mounted connection point that feeds power and control to stage equipment where it works, so a studio hoist or bar connects at the point of use instead of trailing cable across the venue. They are designed into the building during a fit-out or integration, which is what lets equipment be repositioned, connected and stowed without rework.
Yes. After commissioning, your operators are trained to competency on the specific system that was installed - not a generic course - so the venue can run its own environment from handover. Training covers the control levels, the E-stop philosophy and the day-to-day operation the system was designed around.
The install is handed over documented and signed off, and the ongoing relationship is carried by TSA's compliance and service offers - the Venue Systems Health Check and the Service & Inspection Programme. That keeps the integrated system inspected, maintained and documented year on year by the team that engineered it, Australia wide.
